Data Visualization II

Goal

We are going to spend one week focusing on data exploration via postmodern data visualization. You will be exposed to the most popular, pragmatic works from this body of knowledge. Learn why effective data visualization is a critical part of the data mining process.

Instructions

Your assignment is to read the following items and be prepared to discuss them in class.

• Watch and listen to Radiohead's House of Cards video (crank your speakers).
• Read BD chapter 10, pages 149 - 164, Building Radiohead's House of Cards.
• Read Intelligent Designs and The Minister of Information (all three pages)
• Read Visualizing Data chapter 1 (the entire pdf).
