Project 1: Create Your Accounts

Objective

Create accounts related to our toolkits and online communities for this semester.

Requirements

Create an github account if you don't have one.

Create a CrossValidated account.

Create an account at tech.knime.org.

Confirm your Piazza account and ensure that you are "enrolled" in our class.

After you have created your accounts, create a post on Piazza that contains:

A brief description of your experience with data mining.
A brief explanation of why you are taking this class, and what you hope to get out of it.
A brief list of programming languages you are comfortable with.
Your github url
Your CrossValidated url

Here is an example Piazza post that would receive full credit:

Hello everyone,
I have no idea what data mining is but I saw it on a list of "sexy nerd jobs" so I thought I'd check it out. I hope to be able to apply what I learn to my dating life, because right now I can't figure it out (but I have lots of data).

I'm comfortable programming with Scala, Ruby and brainfuck.

Grading Criteria (25 points)
